So I made a music video.

See, my kid wanted to make fun of Rebecca Black on YouTube for her song “Friday.”

I reminded him that he is also thirteen and his feelings are no less priceless and vulnerable.

I told him if he thought the video didn’t deserve that many views and LIKES, then make your own. Also, he had seen some clips from Jackass at his friend’s house, and I saw some dangerous gears turning.

So the comprimise? Make a music video of The Strokes’ new single incorporating both.

It stars my son, Alex, his buddy Tim, my Niece Bree and always eager to be on camera, my daughter Molly.
